Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Shivam, a software engineer and the person behind CrixPix. I write every guide myself and keep it updated.
My goal is simple: help you pick the right AI tool without wasting time or money.
Our Mission
To publish clear, clearly-sourced AI tool reviews. Every guide is either tested hands-on or built from verified, cross-checked research, and each one says which. Comparisons use the same criteria for every tool, and recommendations are based on results, not sponsorships.
Who We Are
CrixPix was founded by Shivam, a software engineer with 4+ years of professional experience who got tired of biased, vague, and outdated reviews of AI software. Too many websites call something the “best AI tool” without testing it, and too many guides are written by people who never opened the tool they were reviewing.
CrixPix uses two clearly separated approaches. Full single-tool reviews and head-to-head comparisons are based on hands-on testing, using the same prompts, settings, and evaluation criteria for every tool in a comparison. Roundups and pricing-breakdown guides are compiled from each company’s official pricing pages and documentation, then cross-checked against independent reporting before publishing. Every guide states which approach it uses, so you always know what you are reading.
As a software engineer, Shivam looks at architecture, performance, and real-world usability rather than marketing copy.
The name comes from Critics (Crix) + Pixels (Pix): critics of the AI tools shaping how people create, write, and work.

Our Values
Test where testing applies
Full reviews and head-to-head comparisons are tested hands-on with real prompts before publishing, not written from spec sheets or press releases.
Research transparently where it does not
Roundups and pricing guides are compiled from official sources and cross-checked reporting rather than a hands-on test of every tool listed, and each guide says so plainly.
Plain language
Guides are written step by step, with no assumed technical knowledge.
Honest and unbiased
We say when a tool has a weak free tier, however popular that tool is.
Kept up to date
We update articles when we notice pricing or feature changes, and show the last-updated date on each one.
Free tier first
Where a tool offers a free tier, we cover it before any paid plan.
Engineering rigor
We evaluate real capability, not marketing language.
